Cardiff is situated in the heart of South Wales, UK. It is an ancient city with roots going back to pre-Roman times. It features one of the biggest shopping centres in the UK, three large indoor shopping malls are in the city centre along with a large number of independent stores mainly sited in the city's numerous arcades. A large indoor market, over a hundred years old is also in the city centre.

At the southern end of the city centre, the Cafe Quarter provides an excellent source of restaurants and cafes with a wide range of international cuisine to suit all tastes and styles.

The city is also ideally situated to explore The Vale of Glamorgan, The Valleys, Gower Peninsula, The Brecon Beacons, Monmouthshire, Ross on Wye etc. All of which are no more than an hour away by car.

The Millennium Stadium is the finest stadium in Europe. It features a unique retractable roof and seating for 72000 people. The Rugby Hall of fame and WRU Museum are also housed here.
